SPACETIME
[noun]
Physics: spacetime (or space-time, space time, space-time continuum) is any mathematical model that combines space and time into a single continuum. Spacetime is usually interpreted with space as being three-dimensional and time playing the role of a fourth dimension that is of a different sort from the spatial dimensions. According to certain Euclidean space perceptions, the universe has three dimensions of space and one dimension of time. By combining space and time into a single manifold, physicists have significantly simplified a large number of physical theories, as well as described in a more uniform way the workings of the universe at both the supergalactic and subatomic levels.
The 7 Hermetic Principles
1. The Principle of Mentalism
THE ALL IS MIND; The Universe is Mental.
2. The Principle of Correspondence
As above, so below; as below, so above.
3. The Principle of Vibration
Nothing rests; everything moves; everything vibrates.
4. The Principle of Polarity
Everything is Dual; everything has poles; everything has its pair of opposites; like and unlike are the same; opposites are identical in nature, but different in degree; extremes meet; all truths are but half-truths; all paradoxes may be reconciled.
5. The Principle of Rhythm
Everything flows, out and in; everything has its tides; all things rise and fall; the pendulum-swing manifests in everything; the measure of the swing to the right is the measure of the swing to the left; rhythm compensates.
6. The Principle of Cause and Effect
Every Cause has its Effect; every Effect has its Cause; everything happens according to Law; Chance is but a name for Law not recognized; there are many planes of causation, but nothing escapes the Law.
7. The Principle of Gender
Gender is in everything; everything has its Masculine and Feminine Principles; Gender manifests on all planes.
“Although the soul is joined with the entire body, there is one part of the body [the pineal] in which it exercises its function more than elsewhere… [The pineal] is so suspended between the passages containing the animal spirits [guiding reason and carrying sensation and movement] that it can be moved by them…; and it carries this motion on to the soul … Then conversely, the body machine is so constituted that whenever the gland is moved in one way or another by the soul, or for that matter by any other cause, it pushes the animal spirits which surround it to the pores of the brain.”
— René Descartes
Descartes also stated that the pineal gland not only connects the spirit with the body but, also affects one another and the effects extend in both the directions. Furthermore, Descartes proposed that the pineal gland was the “seat of the soul” and the only connection between the physical, and the spiritual.
You are all that you have experienced.
Our consciousness serves not to gather information but to limit information.
There are many misconceptions about memory. Eidetic memory, total recall, has never been proven to exist; however, there are many savants who have amazing powers of recall. Here is a real shocker though: We never forget anything unless our brains are physically damaged. The human brain is write only, you cannot overwrite memories.
The reason we don’t “recall” everything is a matter of retrieval not information loss. It would be difficult to function if every memory was present at all times. We “forget” to allow our consciousness make sense of things. It is for this reason that we may dream of something we had “forgotten” years ago.
Memories can be triggered by smells, sounds or feeling. Just because these memories are not present in our conscious minds does not mean they are no longer there. So, be very careful what you place into your vault of memory because memories are permanent and they make you who and what you are.
